About Us
Looking for a lifestyle change, we purchased the farm in June of 2016. The farm needs a lot of love and work to nurture it into what we hope will be a bucolic corner of Lumberton Township. Follow us on this adventure. While working, homeschooling two teenage boys, caring for assorted pets, renovating the house and farming, life on Chasing Chickens Farms is never boring.
Why Chasing Chickens?
A metaphor for life.​
An old southern lady I once knew told me that children these days would be healthier if they could just get outside and "chase chickens". Having two very active boys myself, this concept resonated with me. We didn't want to keep banging our square pegs into round holes. Our lifestyle overhaul began. First with holistic changes so popular today like decreasing our eco-footprint and joining a CSA. Next we took the leap into homeschooling. Chasing Chickens Farm is our biggest step outside the box. It's overwhelming but exciting, exhausting but rejuvenating. We hope you come visit us and we can "chase chickens" together.
